Whisper - is a female buffalo calf and the protagonist in the Thunder on the Plains arc.
She and Thunder were banished following Holler’s ascent to power. In Breakers of the Code Whisper and Thunder discover that Echo is alive but has been taken hostage by Noblepride. With help from a Stride and a repentant Quake, Whisper manages to rescue her brother from the lions and return to their herd will Echo takes his rightful place as leader.
Following Starlight's death, Whisper becomes the next Great-Parent.
