Thorn's parents are briefly mentioned by him while he is competing the Three Feats. He mentions that he loved them dearly and that they had been happy and proud to be Deeproots, doing all the lowly jobs at Brightforest Troop, but that he didn't want to be stuck being a Deeproot like them.
