Broken Pride[]
Branch is one of the baboons of Bark Crownleaf's Council. They are seen during the Council meeting concerning the moving of Brightforest Troop. Branch agrees with Grub when he says how the movements of the troop are not the concern of Fearless. They are later seen alongside Mango overseeing the second feat of the Three Feats. When Nut sabotages Thorn and Mud's attempts at crossing the crocodile river, Thorn questions Branch and Mango if they saw what Nut was doing. Branch shrugs and says that they're only there to report on the successful baboons, and asks Mango if she thinks that what Nut did was against the rules. Branch and Mango are later seen watching Thorn curiously as he scares off a flock of storks to get his plan to cross the river going. When Grub dies, Branch screams that the troop is doomed.

Branch is seen sleeping when Thorn looks for Starleaf to warn her about Stinger and his Strongbranches.They are one of the baboons who heavily object Stinger's decision to disband the Council, as they were a member of the Council.
