I am asking all of you who have read the first arc.
Just Updated
While reading Thunder on the Plains, has anyone noticed how many children and mates Noble had? In book 2 it was revealed that Stonehide killed his first wife and their cub, then in The Shattered Horn it says another cub has died because of the wound the hyenas gave it. And then he marries Bold and has Valiant as well as Valliant's dead siblings, like how many children does this lion have?
Another weird thing about this series is that the lion naming scheme was broken? We had Swiftcub and Valorcub, which is how lions are named (after their mother) but then we have Noblecub? To be fair there is never any confirmation that Noblecub is Noble's child as it was just called his "favorite", and the hyenas could just refer to any cub from Noble's pride as Noblecub. But then we just have 'Cub' for Valiant's name which assume is because they want his heritage to be a surprise and not name him Boldcub, but still...
Ai overview what on earth?
“Thorn is caught in Stinger’s 4D chess game and is forced to commit atrocities to divert suspicion.” 😭😭
Any thoughts on the new book?
There is an audio sample that leaks Chapter 23 from Realm of Spirits.
So I noticed that no serval is ever named. ( at least where i am in the books ) and I came up with a little naming style for em.
There are three ways to start the name
One Who ( gender neutral )
She Who ( feminine )
He Who ( masculine )
You can replace “ Who “ with “ That “ depending on context.
And after the start of the name is an action word. For reference “ She Who Gazes “ and “ One That Watches “
Then after that is a thing or time. the object can be just about anything that fits, such as birds or fire. You can also just use adverbs. If this part in the name doesn't fit with the earlier parts you can add “ At “ or other words that would make it fit. And here for reference “ One That Hunts At Dawn. “
You can also add things to the name that usually starts with For. Like “ One Who Watches Grass For Fur “ ( the names never specifically state the name of a piece of prey. It can only be vague like Feathers or fish. )
And sometimes it can just be “ One Who Runs “ the names do not have to include the extra stuff.
Their names can also be based on appearance as well “ She Who Glows Like Moon “ is a completely plausible name.
And just for funsies have some names in this style
She Who Watches Stars
One Who Searches
He That Runs Quick
She That Leaps High
One That Hunts Birds
He Who Hunts at Dusk
She That Rises with the Moon
I drew my favorite character and turned her into a marketable sticker for my redbubble.https://www.redbubble.com/i/sticker/Prance-by-silvermoon1234/161269345.EJUG5
Does anyone write them here?
Some things I have wondered are, Who are Thorns parents? It seems to be unknown since in the first ever book, broken pride it just starts off the book with him talking. When I search it up on google trust me it’s no help, A couple theories I had are, His parents died, He was orphaned, he was found alone, Or his parents could be somone in the troop? Comment your theory
Hello, I wanted to bring to your attention something I have noticed here on the Bravelands Wiki. And I believe that there should be some clarification or some kind of instruction as to how we format the pages.
First things first, I have noticed that on some character pages, there are "unnamed parents" listed in the info boxes. Examples of this include Breathstealer's page as well as Whisper's page. This is mainly listed as "unnamed father" which I find unusual since I do not recall the books mentioning anything like this. I may be wrong as I have only read the books once and do not own a copy where I can check this info, but I do not think that there should be "unnamed parents" listed if they are not explicitly mentioned in the text. I believe exceptions to this rule can be Bramble's mother as well as Noble's mate, as despite being unnamed, these are actual characters who are mentioned in the books.
To add to the "unnamed parents" thing, there is also the idea of adding unnamed members to various animal groups, such as extra lions in different prides, as well as the Cubs that were killed in Nosebiter's Clan. I am a bit uncertain as to how to approach this situation as there are unnamed members in these groups added to the books as a way to bolster the group numbers, but I don't know if this info should be added in the wiki since these unnamed characters are very background and are never referenced outside of the POV counting and saying, "woah, there's ten lions surrounding me". I personally would like to only list named characters in the members lists for groups as well as relevant unnamed characters, but I would appreciate some opinions on what to do.
Finally, I was thinking of ways in which the group's pages can be formatted, as in what kind of headers to use. I personally really like to formatting on Nosebiter's Clan page with categories being, a general description where any behaviors or attitudes of the groups can be mentioned, and then a territory header as a way to describe the group's location. Then there is the hierarchy header where describes the society and if there are any unusual or special customs that only this group does. The Members header lists all existing characters and any character who has ever been with the group as well as ranks. The Eras header in which I divided under leaders and described changes in behavior or events. And finally, an alliances and Enemies header where the group's relationships to others are mentioned. I think this is a great format and that it should apply to other pages, I would want to know what is your opinion or advice as well as if there is anything to improve upon.
I just managed to finish Breakers of the Code, and really enjoyed it! I will into detail of what i think of each protagonist and rank them.
Ranking:
Breathstealer
Whisper
Stride
Breathstealer:
I was very worried that Breathstealer was going to be one of Starlight's volunteers, like Prance and Stride. But gladly they kept her edgy dissent from her breakdown in The Shattered Horn, sort off. I am still worried for Realm of Spirirts as her blurb hasn't changed much and I am a bit annoyed at how quickly she managed to rejoin her Clan. Prior to reading her book, I was hoping that she would become more pessimistic and cruel as opposed to her previous ideology of peace and friendship. I know that when she killed Bold in The Shattered Horn she didn't do it for revenge or hate, but just out of despair. The first couple of chapters scared me into thinking that her ending in TSH didn't mean anything as she was still eager to return to her Clan and didn't seem as apathetic or cynical as I wished she would be. But once she rejoined her Clan and started to become more corrupt I loved it and couldn't stop reading her chapters. Graypelt was a bit weird and generic, and I think after two chapters he was sidelined?? But once it was revealed that he was working for Starlight I guess it made sense, but I still don't know where I stand with him. Also is he a golden wolf or some other kind of wolf? Because the idea of him being a reformed golden wolf would be cool, especially since golden wolves do eat spirits so they could have a relation to the Great Devourer. My only problem with Breathstealer is that her chapters were so short and I wish the book was longer. Though I hope that she does NOT become a Great Parent since this would be the third time in a row that a protag is one.
Whisper:
Whisper was fine in this book, but I think I liked her better in TSH. She mostly wanders around I guess but I do like her character, not to mention it's refreshing to have a protag who has a close connection to someone special instead of being special herself. I'm glad that they explain why Holler is even still in power, though I wish there was more scenes where it shows how he represses any opposition other than Buffalo just cowering. I still don't know how I feel about Quake's redemption arc, but one thing I know for sure is that I do not want to see Quake shipped with Whisper. Other than that Echo is very cute and has some great scenes too. Any thoughts on whether Holler is being controlled by the Great Devourer??
Stride:
I'll be honest, Stride is my least favorite character in this arc. In this book especially he just wanders around more than Whisper. Stonehide was the highlight of Stride's chapters and I'm more invested in him than I am in Stride. I find it interesting how the Great Devourer is luring him with the illusion of his wife and I'm curious if the Great Devourer wants to use him as a pawn like Breathstealer and potentially Holler or if he wants to harness Stonehide's spirit since he is a Code Breaker. I am curious if the Great Devourer wants to gather strong animals like rhinos and elephants or if the worse the code breaker's crime is the stronger the spirit. I also think that Stonehide and Stride's relationship is cute and it beats Stride x Flicker. I am a bit disappointed that the Great Devourer is evil in this series as I was hoping for a more nuanced antagonist with alternate motives that just happen to clash with the protagonist. Plus I feel that this is just a repeat of Grandmother, but with insects instead of sandtounges. I am curious how they plan to end the arc since killing death itself seems counterintuitive and I hope that it is revealed that the Great Devourer has a valid reason for causing havoc.
What are your opinions and theories?

I'd like to update the main page, since it's been outdated for a while, however, it's protected, so only the admins can do it.
A list of suggestions of what I'd like to be see updated:
Add the newest covers to the slide gallery at the top. The newest one is Shadows on the Mountain which came out two years ago. We could show that the wiki is still updated by adding the latest cover there.
All the mentions of the First Arc, Second arc, etc. should probably link to the respective arc articles.
Echo probably shouldn't be listed on the main page. Despite being mentioned in the blurb he's not a PoV character, and instead we get the PoV of Whisper, who I think should be listed as the main character instead, and the image should be updated appropriately.
Tailgrabber picture should be updated now that we have the cover of the second book.
We could maybe use the chapter image of a cheetah mask as a stand-in for Stride for now? I think it's better than having nothing.
Book section should be updated to feature the Thunder on the Plains arc and the released books.
I think these changes would be beneficial to the wiki.
